Co-Curricular activities are an integral part of Walford’s educational experience and we encourage all students to participate in the extensive range of opportunities that are taught beyond the classroom.

A co-curricular program, as part of a holistic education, has never been more important and relevant than it is today. These opportunities present our girls with connections to the "real world" and allow them to learn a variety of skills, many of which they will carry with them for life.

Students learn leadership, decision-making skills and commitment. They learn to work in teams and motivate others, learn to organise and negotiate. They develop a sense of accomplishment and their self-confidence is enhanced, by using their talents and responding to the challenges. We see girls excelling in their chosen sporting team, choosing to improve their foreign language skills through cultural trips overseas, making a difference in a developing country or simulating a space flight. Many girls share their musical and choral talent by participating in orchestras, bands, ensembles and choirs. The annual Walford musical dramas and concerts are frequently a sell-out with an appreciative school community audience.

Our  Sport, Arts and Culture and Mind Hub options handbooks have been designed to help your daughter navigate her way through the array of co-curricular activities available and to assist her to make an informed choice. These can be accessed below.
