Walk Safely to School Day - Friday 18 May
You are invited to join us for Walk Safely to School Day on 18 May
Walford invites students, grandparents and care-givers to join us for National Walk Safely to School Day (WSTSD), a day that encourages us to think about transport habits and trying to incorporate more walking into our lives as part of a healthy and active way to get around. WSTSD day also provides a great opportunity to teach kids about safe ways to get to school. We would love for you to join us walking to school on Friday 18 May.
We have two points of departure for families to choose from, and volunteer teaching staff, who will walk back to school with the girls for guidance and supervision.
Please join us at 8.00am sharp at either:
- Cnr Fullarton Road and Fisher Street with Miss Coco Bodroghy and Ms Alison McCall
- Cnr King William Rd and Northgate Street at Heywood Park with Mrs Jan Tregenza and Mrs Pamela Davidson
We understand walking to school is not possible for everyone, but still encourage you to be involved by:
- If catching the bus or train, walk past your usual stop and get on at the next stop
- If you have to drive, park the car a few blocks away from the school and walk the rest of the way.
We look forward to walking with you and your children.

Special thanks to local Malvern business Covina Farm Fresh Foods for donating fresh fruit for students to enjoy after the walk.
